The Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) governing body has authorized the implementation of an e-tendering program for LDA development projects.
The meeting also authorized the construction of a shelter home on government land in Jubilee Town, as well as an Eid allowance of Rs10,000 per official up to grade 16. On Wednesday, Vice-Chairman SM Imran presided over the fourth meeting of the LDA governing body for the year 2021. The participants were briefed on the agenda by Director General LDA Ahmed Aziz Tarar.
The meeting endorsed the agenda item of granting financial authority to Wasa’s DMD (operations). Under the Area Development Programme, sixteen various cases of making unique use of land are authorized. The agenda item of delegating financial authority to Wasa’s DMD (operations) was agreed upon by the board. Revenue of Rs1 billion was anticipated under the Area Development Project.
The governing body also authorized the transfer of Kot Lakhpat Mandi’s land use and the establishment of a 1,000-bed hospital on 118 kanals of this land. An agenda was also consented to restore the charge of the Hockey Stadium in Johar Town to the LDA due to poor maintenance, while plots 47, 48, and 49 of the Civic Centre Sabzazar were reassigned to the Punjab Women Development.
During the meeting, assistance was provided to numerous welfare organizations. Dar Al-commercialisation Sukun’s fee, Saeed Foundation’s acceptance fee, and trust school transfer fee have all been waived. The victims of LDA Avenue One were updated on the situation surrounding plot provision, and the governing body was instructed to address the victims’ concerns as soon as possible.
