The Board of Directors of the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) approved the construction of the Sialkot-Kharian Motorway project under the federal governments’ Public-Private Partnership Programme at a meeting presided over by Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umer.
The meeting evaluated the working paper and presentation for the National Highway Authority’s Construction of the proposed 69-kilometer long Sialkot-Kharian will be built on a Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) basis and will have four lanes.
Asad Umer urged the concerned authorities (NHA & P3A) involved to keep working together to ensure the project’s success. According to the minister, PPP projects have a lot of promise and the government will make sure that it is completely realized.
The board also approved the commercial and financial feasibility report, the transaction structure, and the request for a proposal package after a thorough discussion.
