RDA established Shelter Home
Shelter Home established by RDA on 18-12-2018 under the direction of Prime minister Imran Khan. 62,766 people have been registered in the last two years who reside in shelter home according to Chairman RDA. Dinner & breakfast is being provided to residents of the shelter home on daily basis. On Friday, the President of the Rawalpindi-Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Dr. Sania Nishtar, visited a homeless shelter at Fawara Chowk, which was built by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA). Chairman RDA Tariq Mehmood Murtaza welcomed the BISP Chairperson. Dr. Sania Nishtar also interacted with the shelter home residents to inquire about the well-being of senior citizens. She praised the work done on the RDA shelter home on this occasion and thanked Chairman RDA for the outstanding arrangements. According to her, it was the state’s duty to provide the poor with refuge, food, and housing.
That is why the Ehsas Kifalat program was launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan and has benefited millions of people. More shelter homes are being set up in the country in this regard. Home in shelters is opened on the orders of the Prime Minister. Two years ago, this decision was accepted. RDA shelter’s had a lot of individuals here, including staff who get good food and respect here. They will open more shelters in the region. The standard of shelter homes will be increased and its reach has been extended by the sponsorship program. Under this survey who is eligible is decided after a variety of scrutiny. Every effort is made to make Ehsaas Income, Ehsaas Education, and other programs non-political and is intended to help the people in the pandemic. Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza of the RDA thanked Federal Minister Dr. Sania Nishtar on the occasion. He said that, in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, all possible measures are being taken to provide the people living in the Fawara Chowk shelter at home with the best possible facilities.
