The 36th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), headed by Chairman Planning & Development Board Abdullah Khan Sumbal, endorsed six development projects worth Rs8.089 billion for the current fiscal year 2020-21.
For Rs850.990 million, a 20.08-kilometer dual carriageway road will be built between Kingra and Sialkot. The project will also include work to extend and revamp the route.
The authority has authorized an Rs.1,962.568 million project to rehabilitate the 42-kilometer dualized road between Sargodha and Makhdoom Interchange in the District of Sargodha.
Vehari, a new dual carriageway connecting Burewala and Chichawatni Road, will cost Rs1.008.258 million to construct.
A total of Rs536.204 million will be spent on the dualization of a 3.11-kilometer stretch of road connecting Jang Bahatar and Wah.
Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, Senior Chief (Coord), Assistant Chief Coordination, and senior representatives of relevant Provincial Departments were present at the meeting.
