A single tender will be used to complete the project linking M1 to Murree Road (Bypassing BharaKahu).
The road project, which began in 1960 as part of the Islamabad Master Plan, would run from G.T. Road to Murree Road at Bhara Kahu, going through numerous areas like Constitution Avenue before heading to the Bari Imam side.
GT Road will be connected to E-10 and Constitution Avenue in phase 1 of the scheme.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has instructed the authorities that the project be completed as quickly as possible. The Margalla Avenue initiative will also be carried out by subsidiary organizations such as the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) and the National Logistic Cell (NLC).
