Peshawar: According to the latest news, the housing department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced that it would build 1080 apartments in the Rehmann Baba Complex as part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP) initiative, 160 apartments being built in the Warsak1 project.
The decision was made during the 27th meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ministry of Housing authorities, chaired by Dr Amjad Ali Housing Minister. During the meeting, it was agreed that 53 properties of the Dheri Zardad Charsadda housing scheme would also be included in NPHP.
According to the details reported, 49% of the apartments in both housing projects were reserved for state government officials, and 51% for journalists, minorities, disabled people, widows and foreign Pakistanis.
On this occasion, Dr Ali said that Special facilities for ants and people with disabilities are included in all housing projects. He also revealed that steps had been taken to build low-priced homes in Abuha Swat. The minister reportedly instructed the Board of Revenue authorities to facilitate KP’s land identification process to meet the demand for low-cost housing units.
