expansion of the IJP road from Faizabad to Peshawar
Due to its poor condition, traveling on the IJ Principal Route, which connects the Twin Cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to Peshawar and Lahore from Faizabad, has become a nightmare for commuters. The road has long been in a bad state. On this road, accidents involving small vehicles are frequent, including freight cars as well. Heavy and light vehicle’s journey times have changed from minutes to hours. The road is the only road from which freight trucks from all over Pakistan reach to markets of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. So there is good news as Tender notices have been released for the reconstruction and expansion of the IJP road from Faizabad to Peshawar. This would alleviate the pressure of heavy traffic in twin cities. Reconstruction of IJP road will prove to be good for nearby housing societies and in return will have a positive impact on the Real Estate Sector of Pakistan.
